Wow, it is remarkable how the HDR just brings out the detail in the image. It really makes the cracks in the glass "pop" out of the frame, compared to the non-HDR image.
I'm grateful to you for posting both versions - it gives me an appreciation of HDR I hadn't had before.
Yeah HDR is a valuable tool.. However there's certain qualities in the original that were lost in the HDR version. Due to the re-balancing of the light you lose a bit of the depth that was there before. (of course there's ways of getting around that)
